what to do when sleep eludes you

  1. Get out of bed
  2. Place glasses on face (where applicable)
  3. Sit in front of laptop (or other computing device)
  4. Read news subscriptions
  5. See that Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1 is out from Lifehacker site
  6. Read about the Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1
  7. Decide to install Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1
  8. Attempt to get all old addons to work with Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1
  9. Realize that NO addons will work with Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1
  10. Spend about 20 minutes trying to fool them into working anyway
  11. Discover how much you love Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1 and decide to keep it
  12. Decide finally to forgo The Google Toolbar and Google Browser Sync addons and proceed as normal
  13. Find a new browser sync tool called Weave
  14. Install Weave
  15. Browse for possible news on (a) when Firefox 3 will be officially released (b) when Google will update the Google Toolbar and Browser Sync addons (c) post the entire experience to your blog
  16. Decide to leave Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1 running until morning to see just how much of an improvement this new version is considering Firefox 2 acted strangely for you when left open for hours and hours.
  17. Consider playing WoW until sleep returns, decide against this and go back to bed and try and sleep.

BTW: Did you know that the new WordPress version allows you to visually change the size of the edit box in the post new screen? There’s these 3 little diagonal lines on my screen at the bottom … ah hang it – lemme skitch it for ya. That’s pretty awesome!!! I <3 WordPress!!!
