How I went from a “Creature of Habit” to being a Military Spouse

Having lived in the same house with my parents for all my childhood (and some of my adult) years was a solid foundation for me. It gave me that one thing in my life that I could always count on. Home would always be right there at Dukharan Avenue and if all else failed, I could pack up my meagre belongings and head home for Mom and Dad to help me get back on my feet.

Unpacking and settling in – a long protracted process.

First let me give you the run down on what has happened since you heard I was sitting in a hotel waiting to hear whether we get a house or not:

Why?

Well, 10 am to 6 pm is a VERY long day if you spend about half ..read more

so, we have to move

And I am moving house again … and I tell you that it HIT me like a ton of bricks that this is my life now – moving house every 2-3 years is going to be an integral part of this new life. I never really thought about the consequences of this life before, because I had made up my mind that no matter what life threw my way, it was going to be worth it just to be with ..read more
