the .: fyr :. light

I stood at the airport, waiting for what seemed like hours when it was actually just over an hour. And at just about the time I was beginning to think that maybe it was all a joke, and hubby2B had never left KY at all, that I was out there at the airport on a whim and a prayer …. out he comes with his sexy, tall self. He looked good enough to fold and put in my jeans pocket.

It’s a pity it was at night. He didn’t get to see much on the way home from the airport. But he got the general gist of things I think – including the fact that we drove 180 degrees around the harbour to get home. I took him through New Kingston, telling him that “this is the heart of the business district. You aren’t big business until you have an office in New Kingston.”

He was all “Burger King!!” – ROFL. I think mayhe he hadn’t quite believed me when I said we had Burger King here – especially when I kept telling him that OUR BK tastes VASTLY different. I guess he must have thought that it can’t BE Burger King then.   Little does he know that we Jamaicans must colour (and flavour) everything with our own little unique touch.

I think the parents were suitably impressed as was he. And thankfully it cooled drastically overnight. And it’s overcast this morning, which means it MIGHT be cool all day today. Thank Goodness! Dunno how I’d manage with the heat AND know that he wasn’t managing it either.

Anywho, this is probably the last you’ll hear from me until Friday or Saturday .. .we ‘re heading out soon. But I promise you there will be pictures. So y’all stay tuned, hear?
