I know I haven’t written in a few days. I’ve been doing double time – enjoyed the first weekend off with hubby since January and working until 9 at Jackson Hewitt. THAT part was killer. It takes extra special somethings to keep doing something you not only dislike, but that bumps heads with your moral compass too. I don’t think I’ll be preparing taxes with any of those companies next year. It just feels wrong to take THAT much money from people to do something that simple (for the most part).

And on to greener pastures at Bluegrass. So far, it’s fun, exciting, educating (which as you know, is important to me) but clearly going to be hard on me on days when things are routine. Not worried though. I have a set schedule and set responsibilities.

Someone pointed out on my Facebook profile how lucky I was to have 2 jobs when most people were losing their one. It hadn’t escaped my notice. I DID “get lucky” with Jackson Hewitt, but I also have marketable skills with the added plus if being adaptable (how many DBA’s you know would prep races for minimum wage?) AND I’m a quick learner on top of that.

Plus, I was determined to get hired. After being a housewife for a while, it was time to get back out there and earn some ‘toy money’. :D

Anyway, I’ll post more later ( I hope ) until then, I gotta head off to work.

Toodles.
