5 reasons why I keep this blog

As part of the 31 days to a better blog challenge, a list post is the challenge for day 2. A list post is something I have written on occasion before and so the whole idea of it is not alien.

Let’s see just how familiar and comfortable I am with the concept tho ….

5 reasons why I keep this blog:

  1. It’s a way to express myself publicly without boring people with senseless or pointless rants on random subjects.
  2. It’s a way to keep chronological events straight in my head since I tend to be a little scatter-brained.
  3. It gives me the opportunity to post up those family picts that make other people annoyed – you know the cute-kids-and-pets pictures … yea, those.
  4. Over multiple generations of blogs, I have been able to examine myself and see how I’ve grown or changed over the years – a kind of personality road-map of sorts.
  5. Last, but by no means least (ugh – the clichés…) it gives me the opportunity to keep my geeky hands dirty by maintaining the blog software – database, software upgrades and even a little code reading when I can stomach it.
